Yogis learn through demonstration, verbal cues, and physical assists. Physical assists help students adjust their postures for safety and/or can provide an opportunity to enhance a pose for added challenge and depth by helping the student reset, relax, or move with the flow of energy.
In this workshop, learn to integrate direct touch from a firm foundation with intention action. Learn the basic template for providing successful assisting.
Practice giving and receiving assists for common yoga poses such as Downward Facing Dog and standard standing poses, as well as universal adjustments for generic movements such as forward folding, shoulder release and more. Q&A portion for specific requests.
